What is imaging spectroscopy and what are its benefits?
During image acquisition, the APEX instrument acquires data with a data rate of of 65Mb/s. These data are stored onboard on SSD-disks.
After the mission, the APEX data is downloaded onto LTO-tapes and transported the APEX Processing and Archiving Facility (PAF) for further processing and archiving.
